Simply the best is a remarkable example of a beautifully designed and modernised Elliott racer/cruiser. Specifically designed to have optimum performance coupled with all the comforts of a modern cruising yacht and fast passage making.
This yacht was not built to keep the cost down but to ensure that she incorporated the best materials to suit the purpose.
Built by Geary and Sherson using 20mm cedar strip with Epiglass and localised reinforcing in Kevlar. Further reinforcement is provided by the laminated ring frames and placement of bulkheads. To further add to the strength without compromising on weight the deck is foam and glass laminated over a male mould.
Simply the Best has benefited further by her recent modernisation and upgrades. These include, but are not limited to – complete repaint, deck and antifoul in mid-2024, NZ Rigging furling boom (2024), replacement rod rigging 2022, dodger and biminis (2024) new Elliott bulb keel (2022), various sails up to 2024.
